Tris(acetonitrile)(1,1,4,7,7-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine)nickel(II) bis(hexafluoridophosphate)

T. Morawitz, H.-W. Lerner and M. Bolte

Abstract: The title compound, [Ni(C2H3N)3(C9H23N3)](PF6)2, has the Ni atom in an octahedral environment. It is coordinated by the three N atoms of one chelating 1,1,4,7,7-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine molecule and by three acetonitrile molecules. The charge is balanced by two hexafluoridophosphate anions. The ethylene chains and the central methyl group of the 1,1,4,7,7-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine are disordered over two sites with occupation factors 0.619 (6) and 0.381 (6).
