1-(3,4-Dichlorobenzoyl)ferrocene

Abstract: In the title compound, [Fe(C₅H₅)(C₁₂H₇Cl₂O)], the cyclopentadienyl rings are almost parallel and eclipsed as typically found for similar monosubstituted ferrocene derivatives. Weak C-HO and C-HCl hydrogen bonds link molecules into two-dimensional layers parallel to the ac plane in the crystal structure.
