Bis[-2-(3-pyridyl)benzimidazole]bis[bis(3,5-dicarboxybenzoato)silver(I)]

Abstract: In the binuclear title complex, [Ag₂(C₉H₅O₆)₂(C₁₂H₉N₃)₂], the two Ag^I atoms are in a trigonal planar environment formed by two N atoms from two 2-(3-pyridyl)benzimidazole ligands and one O atom from a 3,5-dicarboxybenzoate ligand, forming a centrosymmetric cyclic dimer. Intermolecular N-HO and O-HO hydrogen-bonding interactions aggregate the binuclear units into a three-dimensional framework.
