Bis(7-amino-2,4-dimethyl-1,8-naphthyridine)dichloridomanganese(II) methanol disolvate

Abstract: In the title compound, [MnCl₂(C₁₀H₁₁N₃)₂]·2CH₃OH, both naphthyridine ligands coordinate to the Mn^II ion via two N atoms in a bidentate chelating mode. The Mn^II centre is furthermore coordinated by two Cl ligands to form an octahedral geometry. In addition, there are two methanol molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-HCl, N-HO and N-HCl hydrogen bonds.
