Abstract: In the title compound, [MnCl2(C10H11N3)2]·2CH3OH, both naphthyridine ligands coordinate to the MnII ion via two N atoms in a bidentate chelating mode. The MnII centre is furthermore coordinated by two Cl ligands to form an octahedral geometry. In addition, there are two methanol molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-H
Cl, N-H
O and N-H
Cl hydrogen bonds.
