Abstract: In the title compound, [Cr₂(C₁₆H₁₂Br₂N₂O₂)₂O], Cr^III is chelated by a Schiff base ligand through two N and two O atoms, and is pentacoordinate, with a bridging oxide ion. The coordination geometry can be described as square-based pyramidal, with the bridging oxide in the apical site, giving the shortest bond. The bridging ligand lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis.
