Abstract: In the title compound, (C₁₂H₁₀Br₂N)₂[Ni(C₄N₂S₂)₂], the Ni^II atom of the anion lies on an inversion centre and exhibits a square-planar coordination geometry. The benzene and pyridine rings of the cation make a dihedral angle of 74.6 (3)°. The cations (C1 and C2) and anions (A) are arranged in a ...C1C2AC1C2AC1C2... pattern along the [10] direction and are linked by C-HS hydrogen bonds and - stacking interactions involving the benzene ring [centroid-centroid separation = 3.778 (3) Å].
