Diaquabis{4-[(6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methoxy]benzoato}cadmium(II)

Abstract: The title compound, [Cd(C₁₃H₉ClNO₃)₂(H₂O)₂], is a mononuclear complex in which the Cd^II atom, located on a twofold axis, shows an octahedral coordination geometry. It is surrounded by four carboxylate O atoms from two 4-[(6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methoxy]benzoate acid ligands and two water molecules. O-HO hydrogen bonds link these complexes to generate a two-dimensional supramolecular network.
