Abstract: The title compound, [Cd(C13H9ClNO3)2(H2O)2], is a mononuclear complex in which the CdII atom, located on a twofold axis, shows an octahedral coordination geometry. It is surrounded by four carboxylate O atoms from two 4-[(6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methoxy]benzoate acid ligands and two water molecules. O-H
O hydrogen bonds link these complexes to generate a two-dimensional supramolecular network.
