Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₆H₈N₂)₃(H₂O)](C₇H₇SO₃)₂·3H₂O, the Zn atom has a slightly tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry, with four shorter equatorial Zn-N and Zn-O bonds [2.153 (4)-2.189 (3) Å] and two longer axial Zn-N bonds [2.239 (4) and 2.243 (4) Å]. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds.
