Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C6H8N2)3(H2O)](C7H7SO3)2·3H2O, the Zn atom has a slightly tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry, with four shorter equatorial Zn-N and Zn-O bonds [2.153 (4)-2.189 (3) Å] and two longer axial Zn-N bonds [2.239 (4) and 2.243 (4) Å]. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular N-H...O hydrogen bonds.
