-1,2-Bis(salicyloyl)hydrazine(4-)]bis[(ethylenediamine)zinc(II)] dimethylformamide disolvate dihydrateAbstract: In the title compound, [Zn2(C14H8N2O4)(C2H8N2)2]·2C3H7NO·2H2O, the Zn2 complex molecule lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The two Zn atoms are bridged by two diazine N atoms of a 1,2-bis(salicyloyl)hydrazine(4-) ligand (bsh4-); the inversion centre is located at the mid-point of the N-N bond. The coordination geometry of the Zn atom is distorted square-pyramidal. Each water molecule is linked with three surrounding binuclear complexes through four hydrogen bonds, resulting in a two-dimensional network.
