catena-Poly[[bis(1-ethylimidazole-N³)zinc(II)]--phthalato-²O¹:O²]

Abstract: In the solid state, the title compound, [Zn(C₈H₄O₄)(C₅H₈N₂)₂]_n, exhibits polymeric zigzag chains extended along th c axis. Each Zn^II ion is coordinated by two N and two O atoms in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. Weak C-HO interactions contribute to the crystal packing stability.
