Bis(1H-imidazole-N³)[(2-oxidobenzylideneamino)methanesulfonato-²N,O]zinc(II)

Abstract: The Zn^II ion in the title complex, [Zn(C₉H₄NO₄S)(C₃H₄N₂)₂], is coordinated by an N atom and an O atom of a deprotonated tridentate Schiff base ligand, and two N atoms from two different imidazole ligands in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are connected via intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds, forming extended one-dimensional chains along [111].
