cis-Dichlorido[bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)methane-²P,P']palladium(II) dichloromethane solvate

Abstract: The title compound, [PdCl₂(C₂₅H₄₆P₂)]·CH₂Cl₂, exhibits a distorted square-planar coordination about the Pd^II atom. The major distortion, seen in the P-Pd-P angle, is the result of the small bite angle of the diphosphine ligand. There is also a slight tetrahedral distortion from planarity, as measured by the dihedral angle of 2.26 (3)° between the PdP₂ and PdCl₂ planes. The dichloromethane solvent molecule is disordered over two sites with approximate occupancies of 0.58 and 0.42.
