Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(C₅H₂N₂O₄)(C₁₀H₈N₂)(H₂O)]_n, the Mn atom is coordinated by three O atoms, two N atoms and one water molecule in a distorted octahedral geometry. Mn atoms are connected via the imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylate anions into chains, which are further connected by intermolecular N-HO, O-HN and O-HO hydrogen bonding.
