Abstract: The Zr^IV atom in the title half-sandwich organometallic zirconium(IV) compound, [Zr(C₅H₅)(C₃₂H₃₅N₄Si)Cl₂]·CH₂Cl₂, is N,N',N''-chelated by the silyl-linked imino-amidinato monoanion in the first example of such an organozirconium derivative. The three N-donor atoms along with a Cl atom form a square, above and below which are the cyclopentadieny ring and the second Cl atom. The coordination geometry is octahedral.
