Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C8H4F3O2S)Cl(C12H8N2)], the CuII ion exhibits a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The coordination environment of the cation comprises two N atoms from 1,10-phenanthroline and two O atoms from thenoyltrifluoroacetone in the basal plane and one Cl- anion at the apical site. There are weak intermolecular C-H
Cl bonds.
