N-Methylpiperazinediium pentachloridoantimonate(III) monohydrate

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C₅H₁₄N₂)[SbCl₅]·H₂O, consists of an N-methylpiperazinediium cation, a pentachloridoantimonate anion with the Sb^III ion in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment, and one solvent water molecule. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-HCl, O-HCl and N-HO hydrogen bonds.
