Diaquabis(4-methylbenzoato-[kappa]2O,O')cadmium(II)

X.-H. Huang, P.-Z. Hong and W.-D. Song

Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [Cd(C8H7O2)2(H2O)2], the CdII atom possesses crystallographically imposed C2 site symmetry, and is coordinated by four O atoms from two 4-methylbenzoate ligands and two water molecules, displaying a distorted octahedral geometry. The molecules are assembled via intermolecular O-H...O hydrogen-bond interactions into a supramolecular architecture.
