Bis(3,5-dicarboxybenzoato-[kappa]2O,O')(1,10-phenanthroline-[kappa]2N,N')cadmium(II)

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [Cd(C9H5O6)2(C12H8N2)], has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. The CdII atom, located on the twofold axis, assumes a CdO4N2 distorted octahedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the molecules link to each other by O-H...O and C-H...O hydrogen bonding to form a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
