Bis(3,5-dicarboxybenzoato-²O,O')(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')cadmium(II)

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [Cd(C₉H₅O₆)₂(C₁₂H₈N₂)], has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. The Cd^II atom, located on the twofold axis, assumes a CdO₄N₂ distorted octahedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the molecules link to each other by O-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonding to form a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
