N-(2,6-Dimethylphenyl)-2-methylacetamide

Abstract: The structure of the title compound (26DMPMA), C₁₁H₁₅NO, is closely related to the side-chain unsubstituted N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)acetamide and side-chain substituted N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-2,2,2-trimethylacetamide and 2-chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)acetamide, with slightly different bond parameters. The molecules in 26DMPMA are linked into chains through N-HO hydrogen bonding.
