(Acetylacetonato-²O,O')aqua[salicylaldehyde nicotinoylhydrazonato(2-)-³O,N,O']manganese(III)

Abstract: The Mn^III atom in the title complex, [Mn(C₁₃H₉N₃O₂)(C₅H₇O₂)(H₂O)], is coordinated by three donors from a dianionic ligand, salicylaldehyde nicotylhydrazone, two O atoms from an acetylacetonate anion and a water molecule in a distorted octahedral geometry. There is an extended two-dimensional supramolecular motif resulting from O-HN hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water molecule and a hydrazine N or pyridine N atom, and from C-HO hydrogen bonds between a CH group and the phenolate O atom.
