4-benzene-1,2-dicarboxylato)(
3-benzene-1,2-dicarboxylato)tetrathulium(III)]Abstract: The title compound, [Tm4(C8H4O4)6(H2O)2]n, has been synthesized hydrothermally. The asymmetric unit has four unique TmIII ions that are six-, seven-, eight- and nine-coordinate. The cations are interconnected by bridging benzene-1,2-dicarboxylate (BDC) anions to form an infinite two-dimensional framework, in which the BDC ligands adopt three different coordination modes. Adjacent sheets are further packed to form a three-dimensional supramolecular framework through O-H
O hydrogen bonds.
