Abstract: In the title compound, [CoCl₂(C₁₂H₁₂N₂)], the Co^II atom is coordinated in a tetrahedral geometry by the N atoms of two different 1,3-di-4-pyridylpropane ligands. The compound adopts a linear chain structure.
