Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₂H₁₆N₆O₂·2H₂O, the organic molecule, except for the methyl H atoms, is essentially planar, the r.m.s. deviation from planarity being 0.044 Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO and O-HN hydrogen bonds which form chains.
