Diaquadimethanolbis[4-(1H-tetrazol-1-yl)benzoato]zinc(II) dihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₈H₅N₄O₂)₂(CH₃OH)₂(H₂O)₂]·2H₂O, the Zn^II ion lies on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two O atoms from two 4-(tetrazol-1-yl)benzoate ligands, two O atoms from two methanol molecules and two O atoms from two water molecules in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In addition, there are two uncoordinated water molecules in the crystal structure. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
