2N,O)cobalt(II)Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, [Co(C6H4NO2)2(H2O)2], the coordination environment around the CoII atom is distorted octahedral; two N and two O atoms of the pyridine-2-carboxylate ligands lie in the equatorial plane and the two water O atoms in the axial positions. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming a supramoleular network structure.
