Ammonium 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate

Y. Bi and C.-L. Han

Abstract: The title compound, NH4+·C11H7O3-, was obtained by slow evaporation of a 30% ammonia solution of 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
