(E)-N'-(2-Hydroxybenzylidene)-3,4,5-trimethoxybenzohydrazide

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₇H₁₈N₂O₅, was synthesized from 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzohydrazide and 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 29.9 (2)°. The crystal structure involves intramolecular O-HN, and intermolecular N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds.
