Tris[3,3'-(p-phenylenedimethylene)diimidazol-1-ium] bis(phosphatododecamolybdate)

Abstract: In the title compound, (C₁₄H₁₆N₄)₃[PMo₁₂O₄₀]₂, the asymmetric unit contains one [PMo₁₂O₄₀]^3- anion and one and a half 3,3'-(p-phenylenedimethylene)diimidazol-1-ium cations. Each cation links two [PMo₁₂O₄₀]^3- anions, which link three cations through N-HO hydrogen bonds, generating an infinite supramolecular chain-like structure.
