2O2,O2')bis(1,10-phenanthroline-
2N,N')zinc(II) dihydrateAbstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C16H8O8)(C12H8N2)2]·2H2O, the ZnII atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is six-coordinated by two O atoms from a 5,5'-dicarboxybiphenyl-2,2'-dicarboxylate ligand and four N atoms from two 1,10-phenanthroline molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal structure involves O-H
O hydrogen bonds.
