Abstract: In the neutral mononuclear iridium(III) title complex, [Ir(C₁₅H₁₀N)₂Cl(C₅H₅N)]·H₂O, the Ir atom is coordinated by two N atoms and two C atoms from two 2-(quinolin-2-yl)phenyl ligands, one N atom from a pyridine ligand and one Cl atom in an octahedral geometry.
