Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C27H32O, contains two and a half molecules. In the crystal structure, one of the molecules lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 12.17 (6), 16.29 (11) and 51.24 (8)° for the three molecules. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings of each molecule in the asymmetric unit are 12.17 (6) and 16.29 (11)°
