(RS)-N-[(4-Chlorophenyl)(phenyl)methyl]formamide

Abstract: The racemic title compound, C₁₄H₁₂ClNO, contains two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angles between the phenyl and benzene rings are 84.03 (15) and 83.92 (13)°. The crystal structure involves intermolecular N-HO, C-HCl and C-HO hydrogen bonds, linking molecules into layers parallel to the (100) plane.
