Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₃H₉BrO₂, the molecular conformation is stabilized by an intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular C-HO hydrogen-bonding interactions link the molecules into chains along the c-axis direction.
