Abstract: In molecule of the title compound, C₁₆H₁₄N₂O₂, the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 6.93 (3)° and an intramolecular N-HO hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into zigzag chains running in the [10 $\\overline{1}$ ] direction.
