(1S,2S)-2-Carboxy-1-(3-pyridiniomethyl)pyrrolidin-1-ium dichloride hemihydrate

Abstract: In the title molecule, C₁₁H₁₆N₂O₂²⁺·2Cl^-·0.5H₂O, all N atoms are protonated. In the crystal structure, the organic cation and Cl^- ions are linked by N-HCl and O-HCl hydrogen bonds, forming a one-dimensional infinite ribbon extending parallel to the (110) plane.
