Bis(2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide-C)gold(I) tetrafluoridoborate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Au(C₉H₉N)₂]BF₄, the Au^I cation adopts an almost linear AuC₂ geometry. The cation is bowed due to crystal packing effects, and the dihedral angle between the xylyl rings is 52.3 (7)°.
