Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C₆H₁₀NS₂)I(C₁₂H₈N₂)], the Cu^II ion is coordinated by one iodide ion, two N atoms of the phenanthroline ligand and two S atoms from the piperidyldithiocarbamate ligand in a distorted square-pyramidal environment.
