Abstract: In the dinuclear centrosymmetric title complex, [Hg₂Br₄(C₁₇H₁₃N₅O₂)₂]·2C₃H₇NO, the Hg^II atom is coordinated by two Br atoms and two N atoms from two different ligands in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The solvent molecule is linked to the 28-atom ring by two hydrogen bonds.
