Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₂₃NO₃S, is an unexpected 1,3-migration product in the addition of benzylzinc bromide to N-tert-butanesulfinyl iminoacetate. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by N-HO hydrogen bonds and weak C-HO hydrogen bonds.
