N'-[4-(2-Furyl)but-3-en-2-ylidene]isonicotinohydrazide

Abstract: The molecule of the title Schiff base compound, C₁₄H₁₃N₃O₂, is not perfectly planar; the furyl and pyridine rings are twisted with respect to each other along the C₄N₂C₂ organic chain, making a dihedral angle of 13.3 (1)°. The occurence of N-HO hydrogen bonds builds up a chain developing parallel to the c axis.
