N-(4-Chloro-2-nitrophenyl)-N-(methylsulfonyl)acetamide

Abstract: The title compound, C₉H₉ClN₂O₅S, is of interest as a precursor to biologically active substituted quinolines and related compounds. The structure displays intermolecular C-HO interactions. Each molecule is linked to two adjacent neighbours via weak centrosymmetric dimer-forming interactions, forming chains in the [101] direction.
