Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C13H18N2O5, adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the hydrazinecarboxylic acid plane is 49.75 (5)° and an intramolecular C-H
O interaction occurs. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked into a chain along [010] by N-H
O hydrogen bonds, and a C-H
contact further stabilizes the structure.
