Abstract: In the crystal structure, the title compound (also called dicumyl peroxide), C18H22O2, lies on a center of symmetry. The COOC plane including the dioxy group makes a dihedral angle of 79.10 (5)° with the phenyl ring. An intermolecular C-H
interaction is observed between the phenyl groups.
