Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C14H12FNO, the amide -NHCO- mean plane makes dihedral angles of 28.6 (2) and 37.5 (2)° with the mean planes through the fluorobenzene and methylbenzene units, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two benzene ring mean planes is 65.69 (10)°. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through N-H
O hydrogen bonds and stack along the b axis.
