Abstract: The anion in the title compound, (C₇H₁₁N₂)[SnBr₂(CH₃)₂(C₆H₄Br)], is five-coordinate within a distorted trans-C₃SnBr₂ trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The cation and anion are linked by an N-HBr hydrogen bond.
