3-Methoxy-4-(4-nitrobenzyloxy)benzaldehyde

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₃NO₅, the vanillin group makes a dihedral angle of 4.95 (8)° with the benzene ring of the nitrobenzene group. The packing is stabilized by weak, non-classical intermolecular C-HO interactions which link molecules into chains running along the c axis.
