Abstract: The title compound, C₁₆H₂₂O₃, is a useful intermediate in the synthesis of poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. The cyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers by pairs of O-HO hydrogen bonds.
