5-Phenyl-7,8-dihydro-1,3-dioxano[4,5-g]isoquinoline

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₃NO₂, the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 55.5 (2)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds and weak - stacking interactions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.595 (3)Å], linking the molecules into ladders of inversion dimers.
