Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [Cu₂Mo₂Br₂(C₇H₁₄NS₂)₂S₄]·2C₃H₇OH, comprises one [(i-C₃H₇)₂NCS₂]₂Mo₂S₄ unit and two CuBr units held together by six Cu-₃-S bonds, thus forming a cubane-like Mo₂S₄Cu₂ core. Intramolecular O-HS hydrogen bonds may stabilize the structure. Two methyl groups of the two independent solvent molecules are disordered over two positions and were refined with occupancies of 0.733 (12) and 0.267 (12).
