1-(4-Methyl-1-naphthyl)ethanone

Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, C₁₃H₁₂O, the two aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 2.90 (3)°. An intramolecular C-HO hydrogen bond results in the formation of a non-planar six-membered ring, which adopts an envelope conformation. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules.
